HDFC Bank’s UPI services will not be available during this period on 5th and 23rd November

HDFC Bank announced temporary suspension of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services for essential system maintenance. Customers should note that UPI will not be available between 12:00 – 02:00 IST on 5 November and 12:00 – 03:00 IST on 23 November.

During these downtimes, financial and non-financial UPI transactions will be HDFC Bank’s Current and Savings accounts as well as RuPay Credit Cards.

This will affect transactions made through HDFC Mobile Banking app, Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay, Paytm, Shriram Finance, Mobikwik and Kredit.Pe.

There will also be service disruptions at merchants acquired by HDFC Bank.

What happens if my UPI transaction is rejected?

Transactions may be rejected due to incorrect UPI PIN or insufficient account balance. Users must verify their account balance before initiating a transaction.

Who can use UPI?

Anyone with an active bank account, linked mobile number and debit or credit card can use UPI.

What happens if I uninstall the HDFC Mobile Banking app?

If users reinstall the app, they will need to reconnect their devices to get their UPI ID.
