Suspect arrested in October 26 Montgomery murder

MONTGOMERY, Ala.(WSFA) – A suspect is currently in custody and has been charged with murder in connection with the incident. 26 October Marquaries Williams’ deathThe Montgomery Police Department confirms this.

Investigators with MPD’s Special Operations arrested 19-year-old Khamaury Gorman of Montgomery on Thursday.

The investigation started at around 18.40 on Saturday. police responded to a shooting call in the 1000 block of Mill Street. First responders determined Williams, 34, had life-threatening injuries and transported him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The reason for the murder was not disclosed.

Williams’ family participated in a justice march in his honor on November 16, calling for justice in his case.

Marquaries Williams’ family is part of a club no one wants to join: the loss of a loved one to gun violence.

Gorman is being held without bail at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
