9 People Arrested for Alleged Stabbing in Melbourne

Nine people have been arrested following a serious stabbing that allegedly occurred during a mass brawl at Melbourne’s Hoppers Crossing this morning.

Emergency services responded to a call on Mosfield Drive at around 3.40am, where they discovered a 23-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. He was immediately transported to the hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.

A 16-year-old boy, driven in a black Mazda CX9, also arrived at Werribee Hospital with suspected stab wounds at around 4am. At this stage, the exact location of the second alleged stabbing remains unclear. Authorities are investigating whether this second incident is related to the Hoppers Pass stabbing.

Authorities are carefully examining the circumstances surrounding both incidents.

A police spokesman said: “Investigations are ongoing into both incidents where police believe at this stage they were targeted.”

“Detectives are working to determine whether the two incidents are related.”

The Wyndham Criminal Investigation Unit detained nine people following the fight and stabbing. These people will be interrogated by detectives as part of the ongoing investigation.
