In 2018, Praveen Kumar Dwivedi’s father Rajesh Chandra Dwivedi, who worked as a tube well operator in the irrigation department, passed away due to a heart attack. His family later moved to Prayagraj from Fatehpur. Instead of his father, his older brother was hired in the irrigation department. While there, Praveen also started working. He attended Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Fatehpur for his secondary education. Later, he completed his undergraduate studies at Allahabad University, where he started studying for UPPSC PCS. He passed the PCS exam on his fourth try.

The Road to Success

Praveen Kumar Dwivedi, a native of Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, appeared for the UPPSC PCS test in 2021; The results were announced on October 19, 2022. Praveen was placed sixth. At that moment, people flocked to his house to congratulate him. At the age of 28 he joined the PCS as an officer.

Even though he achieved his goal of becoming a major general, he still misses his father. According to Praveen, his father had to work hard for his school. After this, Praveen stated that he passed the PCS exam without any help.

Reason for Suspension

On 23 March 2023, Praveen Kumar was appointed. He was initially appointed as Deputy Collector of Auraiya. He later served as Deputy Collector of Pratapgarh from March 2 to November 20. While serving as the district magistrate of Pratapgarh, he was accused of issuing a unilateral stay order in a land-sharing dispute. IAS Vijay Kumar suspended Praveen Kumar Dwivedi on the directive of IAS M Devraj, Principal Secretary, Appointment and Personnel Department.
