Is Keenan Allen planning to return to the Chargers?

Is Keenan Allen planning to return to the Chargers?

Is Keenan Allen returning? Los Angeles Chargers?

One might get this idea while listening to Allen speak David KaplanThis week it’s “The Big Dog Show.”

When asked what his plans are for this offseason, Allen gave the larger answer, “I’ll be back in Chicago or Los Angeles.”

The Chargers traded Allen to the Chicago Bears and parted ways with Mike Williams last summer in an effort to begin reshaping the roster under Jim Harbaugh. However, he is scheduled to become a free agent next season and is likely to attract interest from many teams; especially after spending Thanksgiving dropping 73 yards and two points to the Detroit Lions in the loss.

If nothing else, Allen’s comments show where his head might be when it comes to free agency. Beyond the money side of things, he plans to reunite with the Bears or return to Los Angeles (presumably not the Rams) to continue helping Caleb Williams.

Perhaps the Chargers’ biggest need right now is Wideout, and yes, Allen reuniting with Justin Herbert and helping clear room for Ladd McConkey could make for a pretty nice duo in 2025.
