2 dead after Thanksgiving double murder, GBI investigates

DECATUR COUNTY, GA. (WALB) – Two people are dead following a double murder on Thanksgiving Day.

The murders occurred at 151 Hunter Road in Decatur County.

The names of those who died cannot be disclosed at this time.

Decatur County Sheriff’s Office investigators are on scene. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is assisting with the investigation.

Chief Wendell Cofer says there is no active threat to the community. They have a suspect and agencies outside Florida are assisting.
