Man Accused of Stabbing His Vlogger Girlfriend to Death in Bengaluru Arrested

Killer spent two days with Maya Gogoi’s body in a service flat in Bengaluru

Bengaluru:

A man who allegedly killed his vlogger girlfriend and spent two days with the body has been arrested in Bengaluru, sources said.

Police have not yet shared full details. Reports stated that he was arrested outside Karnataka and fled the state after killing his girlfriend.

Maya Gogoi, an Assamese vlogger, was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend Aarav Hanoy in a serviced flat earlier this week.

In a gruesome development, police said the killer spent two days with the body in the ward.

Investigation so far has revealed that the murderer, who is alleged to be her boyfriend, spent two days with Maya Gogoi’s body and most of the time, he would just smoke a cigarette while sitting in front of the body.

The police formed two teams and launched a manhunt for him.

After taking a taxi from the service office, Aarav Hanoy reached Majestic area in Bengaluru’s Central Business District and then switched off his phone.

According to police, Maya Gogoi was living with her sister in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout.

He called his sister and told her he wouldn’t be coming home on Friday because he was attending an office party.

Later, on Saturday, he sent another message saying that he would not come home because he was partying that night too.

Maya’s sister told the police that Aarav and Maya were in a relationship for the last six months after they met on social media.
