Manx postal services to Canada suspended due to workers’ strike

Postal services from the Isle of Man to Canada have been suspended due to a mass strike by postal workers in the country.

A strike by Canadian Postal Workers Union members over a wage dispute began in mid-November.

The Isle of Man Post Office said it was temporarily suspended after Post Canada was notified of the industrial action.

People were warned that any items shipped into the country would be returned to the sender.

A Post Office spokesman said further updates on the situation would be published on the organisation’s website.
