Ludhiana: 14-year-old boy alleged rape, neighbor held

Division 7 police arrested a 35-year-old factory worker who reportedly raped a 14-year-old neighbor in Adarsh ​​Nagar. The suspect was stated to be Suresh. The FIR was registered following a complaint from the victim’s mother.

The complainant stated that she and the defendant’s wife worked in the same factory. On Thursday, the defendant took a day off and chose to stay at home. The complainant stated that when she returned home in the evening, she found her distressed daughter crying. When asked, the girl said that the suspect entered the house and raped her after finding her alone. The defendant also threatened her to hold her mother before running away.

Sub-inspector Harinderpal Singh, who is investigating the case, said the accused was arrested and Section 64 (rape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act were slapped.
