Two arrested in fatal shooting at Murray apartment complex

Two people have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Murray apartment complex.

The shooting occurred on Thursday, November 21 at 4335 S Fairbourne Ave. took place nearby.

Police arrived at the scene and found a man dead, identified in court documents Wednesday as Panoum Jangjuol. Authorities said the man suffered two gunshot wounds to the head.

Authorities arrested 22-year-old Pirawn Yohan Mula, who is accused of Jangjuol’s murder.

Court documents said witnesses in the area reported that the two men got into a physical fight in the parking lot of an apartment complex before Mula, also known as Popeye, shot Jangjuol in the head. After the victim fell to the ground, Mula shot him in the head again, documents say.

Mula ran into a white SUV and fled, police said.

Mula was on probation and was under the influence of alcohol and alcohol at the time of the shooting, documents state. He is charged with murder, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, two counts of use of a firearm and intoxication.

Jackson Baka Issa, 24, who eyewitnesses said attacked police, was also arrested.

Mula admitted that Issa was with him at the time of the shooting. The documents described Issa as “a fugitive from justice and a witness to a murder.”

Police are charging Issa with first-degree felony obstruction of justice and promoting or promoting illegal trafficking in firearms. The documents also said witnesses reported that Issa may have provided the gun used to kill Jangjuol.
