Considering how obnoxious they are, it’s actually pretty rare for a celebrity to outright refuse to attempt bullshit on I’m A Celeb. After being voted into a spooky challenge, campmates are usually quite ready to win some stars and food for the camp.

However, there have also been a few occasions where celebrities have had neither – Lady C, I’m looking at you. Ant and December Always tell them before hearings that they don’t have to do these things. And this is true. No one can force celebrities to eat bugs or have bugs thrown at them. Unfortunately.

It says: “If the celebrity/celebrities who receive the most votes to do a trial or other event refuse to take part in the trial (or continue to take part if they have already started the event) or are unable to take part or due to medical concerns or other unreasonable reasons beyond the control of ITV and/or producers “If they continue to participate due to concerns, the next highest rated celebrity(s) may be required to try out or other activity.”

At disaster stations, the person who received the second vote could also reject. If so, “another actor may be selected to participate in the tryout at the producers’ discretion.”

No, they’re not canceling the hearing and starving the celebrities.
