Teen arrested in connection with Madison Co. car theft

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – A teenager was arrested in connection with a carjacking in Madison County Thursday afternoon.

Kentucky State Police troopers say a white Hyundai Sonata was stolen from the Lexington Road area of Richmond Thursday morning.

Lexington police said Flock cameras helped locate a stolen vehicle in the area of Cooper Drive and Tates Creek.

The young suspect is said to have fled the car and was arrested nearby.

Lexington Police said no other suspects were involved.
