As Nairobi continues to consolidate its position as a major business and tourism hub in Africa, demand for high-quality accommodation in the Westlands area of the city has also increased.

The region’s growth has created a need for spaces that appeal to both business and leisure travelers.

Novotel, the French hotel chain affiliated with the Accor Group, opened a new facility in Westlands to meet this demand.

The hotel has 347 rooms, 13 meeting spaces and a ballroom that can accommodate more than 100 guests.

Novotel Nairobi Westlands General Manager Fabio Gonsalves said the hotel was designed to offer flexible workspaces and dining options to suit a variety of guests.

“We aim to create experiences for both business travelers and families,” he said.

Accor sees the opening as part of its broader strategy to expand in Africa.

Paul Stevens, Chief Operating Officer of Accor’s Middle East and Africa division, said the hotel strengthens the company’s presence in the region.

“This marks an important step in our growth by providing access to Nairobi’s business and leisure opportunities,” said Stevens.

The new Novotel is expected to enhance Nairobi’s attractiveness as both a business and leisure destination and support the city’s economic development.
