St. George police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of 54-year-old Joan Singrew.

His body was found in the Greater Brak River area on Monday.

Police spokesman Sergeant Chris Spies said the two suspects, aged 45 and 46, were arrested by Conville police on Friday.

They will appear in court on murder charges on Monday.

Police previously said Singrew, of Rosemoor, was reported missing last Thursday when his daughter returned home and there was no sign of him.

“A search team has been established, starting with a comprehensive search with the deployment of various police units and strategic stakeholders.

“Further investigation led police to Groot Brakrivier, where the body of the missing woman was found around 14:50 on Monday, November 25, 2024,” Spies said in an earlier report.

An autopsy was performed on Wednesday to determine the cause of death and will be part of the ongoing investigation.
