Pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Baton Rouge, authorities said

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – One person was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Oak Street, according to emergency officials.

EMS said they responded around 12:45 a.m. on Monday, October 28th.

The health condition of the person who was attacked is currently unknown.

This is the second time a pedestrian has been struck in Baton Rouge in the past week. Officials said One person was shot just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23. According to emergency medical services officials, the incident occurred at the intersection of Bluebonnet Boulevard and Celtic Drive.
