Somerset woman found guilty of murder after stabbing her husband in the neck

Avon and Somerset Police said Henri was attacked between 16:00 BST and 16:20 BST.

At 16:21, Kekkonen sent a text message to his mother, saying: “Mom, please call the police here immediately. Please. I did something very bad.”

His father then called the ambulance and reported the situation to the police.

Emergency services teams reached their home within 15 minutes, but despite all efforts, Henri died at the scene.

Heavy blood stains were found on the couple’s bed in their bungalow, and police later found a knife on the floor to the left of the bed.

Kekkonen was arrested on suspicion of murder and later charged by detectives from Avon and Somerset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team.
