Dead Cells’ last two updates have been delayed but will be released early next year

  • Dead Cells’ last two free updates have unfortunately been delayed on mobile
  • But we know when they will arrive on February 18, 2025.
  • Both bring new weapons, mobs, mutations, and more to the popular roguelike

Developer Playdigious has announced an unfortunate delay in the release of the last two free Dead Cells updates on mobile devices. However, they softened the news by announcing that Clean Cut and The End is Near now have a firm release date and will be released in 2017. February 18, 2025. As for what you can expect from them? Well, let’s find out.

Since the console and PC versions of Dead Cells have already received this update, we can easily discuss what’s to come. The main features of Clean Cut are two new weapons: the Survival-focused Sewing Scissors and the Brutality-focused Giant Comb. There is also a new NPC called the Tailor’s Daughter, which will allow you to freely change the appearance of your head and much more.

Meanwhile, The End is Near’s ominous title hides the addition of a bunch of new mobs, including the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. Along with a number of new abilities and colorless mutations, such as Demonic Strength, which increases your damage by 30% when cursed by +1% per curse charge.

All this and lots of cells

Suffice it to say that Playdigious has gone above and beyond in contributing more and more free content to Dead Cells over the years. Although it was with great sadness that they announced the end of these free updates (so the studio could focus on other projects), I think they more than earned the right to rest on their laurels.

As above, you can expect Dead Cells Mobile’s last two free updates to arrive simultaneously for Android and iOS on February 18, 2025.
