Prosecutors say sex offender was caught accessing child porn weeks after he was placed on parole on similar charges

Pulaski, NY — A 23-year-old Oswego County man arrested Just a few weeks after he was placed on probation for similar charges, he was sued for uploading and sharing child pornography on various apps.

Daniel LaRock, of Pulaski, was charged with distributing child pornography, according to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.

Prosecutors said LaRock is a level 3 registered sex offender and was previously convicted June 11 in Oswego County Court of soliciting a sexual performance by a child under 17. State records show the victim was a girl under 11 years old. He was sentenced to 10 years probation.

A little more than two weeks after LaRock was convicted, an investigation was opened following four cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Prosecutors provided information about activity on Discord, Snapchat and Instagram.

The accounts that uploaded the material were linked to LaRock, prosecutors said.

During a search of LaRock’s Pulaski home on Nov. 26, Oswego County probation officers found an unapproved cellphone in his possession, they said. It was stated that LaRock later confessed to operating the accounts linked to the tips and was arrested.
