Man suspected of driving drunk on Thanksgiving was shot and killed by cops in Brea

BREA, California. – Horrifying moments took place in front of eyewitnesses Brea After a man suspected of driving drunk was shot and killed by cops on Thanksgiving Day.

Brea Police Department officials said around 4:45 p.m., they were notified of a possible drunk driver traveling near Lambert Road and the 57 Freeway.

A short time later, officers found a car matching the vehicle description. Video taken by a witness shows the suspect’s SUV pushing a patrol vehicle toward the Lambert Road intersection. and Oak Cliff Place, prompting officers to shoot.

The suspect, who was injured as a result of the fire opened by the police, was taken to a hospital in the region and was pronounced dead.

No officer was injured in the incident.
