Former employee of Colorado Springs children’s nonprofit convicted of sexual assault of a child

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KKTV) – A man in his seventies who once worked for a children’s nonprofit has been convicted of sexually assaulting a child.

Immediately after his arrest, Fountain Police said they had identified multiple victims dating back to 2014.

Carl Ray Jordan was arrested in October last year on charges of sexually assaulting a child by a person he trusted. The Fountain Police Department said detectives were first notified of the alleged sexual assault in 2014 on Halloween.

“For the past four years, Jordan was an employee of the Griffith Juvenile Chins Center in Colorado Springs,” Fountain Police wrote in their original release.

On Monday, the Fountain Police Department announced that Jordan was found guilty of three counts of sexual assault and aggravated incest on a child in a position of trust. He was sentenced to 44 years in prison on Friday.
