Florida woman called 911 for ‘pizza’, rescued from illegal immigrant during alleged rape attempt

A Florida sheriff says the creative thinking of a woman who called 911 with a clever text message saved her from her alleged attacker.

“I want to order a pizza,” one call to 911 stated. Volusia Sheriff’s Office It starts on social media. “I’m so stuck here.”

“Okay. You realize you called 911?” the dispatcher asks the woman who called, and she replies, “Yes, I’m sure I called that number.”

Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood said dispatchers were able to “triangulate his phone,” saying he did not know the victim’s location.

The victim was able to tell the officer that he was being held down by an unarmed man. Once the location was determined, deputies were sent.

“Deputies set out on foot and began searching for these ferns,” Chitwood said. The rural town of Pierson. “Finally they heard loud music coming from a field. When they approached the sound they saw a male on top of a screaming female.”

“He’s trying to rape me. Can you help me?” The victim screamed when she noticed someone approaching.

The victim told deputies that he knew his attacker and willingly went to the fern with him to have a few alcoholic drinks, but “that was all it was meant to be,” Chitwood said.

“During this trip the man did a number of cocaine uses and the woman said he did a 180 degree of cocaine, became extremely violent and tried to rape her by not letting her go,” Chitwood said.

The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on October 19. The sheriff’s office confirmed to Fox News Digital that the suspect, 27-year-old Luis Diego Hernandez-Moncayo, came to the United States illegally from Mexico.

Chitwood said Hernandez-Moncayo applied for asylum the day before the alleged attack.

“He is currently sitting in jail with an immigration detention officer from the U.S. Border Patrol, charged with attempted sexual battery, battery by strangulation, and false imprisonment,” Chitwood wrote to X.

This is one of the latest criminal cases involving a suspect confirmed to be in the United States illegally. The issue of illegal immigration has become a fixture of the 2024 campaign process. Former President Donald Trump vowed to crack down on the issue, including a “ban” on so-called sanctuary cities, while Vice President Kamala Harris said the Biden-Harris administration’s policies were effective.
