A train driver on London’s Elizabeth Line sparked a security alarm after accidentally allowing the train to move on its own after taking an ’emergency’ toilet break.

The anonymous driver told the signalman they needed an “urgent personal break” before stopping at Paddington station.

While staff at Paddington were removing passengers from the train, the driver got off the train to use the toilet.

However, after the train doors closed, the staff was surprised to see the vehicle moving without the driver inside.
