An elderly couple lost their lives and a young man was seriously injured in a house fire.

The deceased couple was identified as Heera Mohan Lal and Usha Rani.

Police said the oil in a pan in the kitchen on the first floor of the building overheated, causing the fire to spread throughout the house.

Due to the fire, many Diwali crackers stored in the house also exploded. In addition to the elderly couple, a 15-year-old girl named Shruti, who was at home, was also seriously injured. Police said the woman is currently under treatment fighting for her life.
