Apple Card launches promotion offering up to 5% cash back on all purchases

The holiday shopping season is upon us, and Apple is offering some great incentives to users who spend more on their Apple Card through a new promotion. Here’s what you need to know.

Huge increase in Daily Cash possible at high spending levels

A new Apple Card promotion is being offered to select users to earn up to 5% cash back on all purchases during the promotional period. This is on top of the standard 1% cash back on non-Apple Pay purchases.

However, you will need to spend a significant amount to reach this higher reward tier.

Juli Clover writes: MacRumors:

To unlock the Daily Cash Back promotion, users will need to spend between $5,000 and $15,000. Three percent Daily Cash unlocks at $5,000. Spending $10,000 unlocks four percent Daily Cash, and spending $15,000 unlocks five percent Daily Cash.

You’ll need to spend at least $5,000 to get the bonus, and it’s not retroactive, so it will only apply to purchases made after you’ve reached each spending limit.

Fortunately, although the promotion starts in time for the holidays, it actually runs much longer: from November 6, 2024 to April 30, 2025.

So even if you don’t hit the $15,000 benchmark right away, you can still earn significant cash back rewards in early 2025. Bonus cash is valid for up to $50,000 in total purchases.

The catch, of course, is that not all Apple Card users are eligible. Apple says the offer is “limited to select ‘Apple Card’ users who receive a notification about it in the Wallet app.”

There are two action items you’ll want to take by November 6 to verify your eligibility.

  1. Make sure notifications are enabled for the Wallet app, which can be done from Settings ⇾ Notifications ⇾ Wallet.
  2. Go to your Apple Card, then tap the three dots in the top-right corner and open Rewards & Offers to check the offer there.

I have not been informed about the offer yet. It really sounds too good to be true, so I wonder how many users will get an invite from Apple.

It’s possible that Apple is targeting users who have the Apple Card but don’t use it much, in an attempt to change their spending habits. In return I use my Apple Card already a lot. But I still hope to get that invitation in the coming days.

Have you received the Apple Card promotional offer? If so, do you use your Apple Card a lot? Let us know in the comments.
