Kamala Harris tells voters: ‘Don’t think you’re in Donald Trump’s club’

Vice President Kamala Harris warned voters Monday that they need to “understand” that they’re not “in Donald Trump’s club” and argued that the former president doesn’t care about them.

“One of the things we need to help people understand is, don’t think you’re in Donald Trump’s club. You’re not,” Harris said. “He’s not going to think about you, you think he’s going to invite you over for dinner? When he’s with his friends, his billionaire friends, you think he’s thinking about what we need to do to address, for example, my business, what I’m doing to address disparities in the health of Black men.”

Harris joins NFL star In an interview with Shannon Sharpe on his podcast on Monday, the former football player asked why voters prefer former President Donald Trump on the economy and why he might be better than Trump on economic issues.

“We’re looking at Donald Trump, who is basically someone who has never understood the inequities that impact society,” Harris said during the interview.

A new survey was found Latino voters now support Trump by 49% to 38%. Black voters favor Harris by 72% to 17%, but that 55-point margin is much smaller than the advantage Democrats have traditionally held.

Harris said of Trump, “Should he have the ability to sit behind the seal of the President of the United States when he says he wants to repeal the Constitution of the United States?” he said. “Do you know what that means? In the United States Constitution, you have a Fourth Amendment right against unreasonable search and seizure. Your Fifth Amendment right, your Sixth Amendment right to counsel.”

He later said he was in favor of the Second Amendment and didn’t think “we should be taking anyone’s guns.”

“So what I’m talking about doing right now is based on long-standing work, and it’s not new. But as President of the United States, part of the reason why this is important is whether there’s a new approach to this work, a new way based on new ideas, based on a new generation of leadership And frankly, it’s a different experience that brings to life my commitment to the job that I’ve talked about,” the vice president continued.
