Minnesotans love going to the polls to vote.

Minnesota has ranked first in the nation in voter turnout in nearly every general election since 2008.

“Minnesota is a voting champion every year,” said Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon.

Simon says there are two main reasons behind our high voter turnout: laws and culture.
