Police investigating Detroit Lions Jameson Williams after avoiding arrest at gunpoint

The Detroit Police Department reportedly requested a search warrant from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. According to 7 News Detroit, Williams would be charged with carrying a concealed weapon in a motor vehicle.

“On October 8, my clients were pulled over for an alleged traffic violation. During the stop, my clients were both cooperative and respectful towards police officers,” Flood wrote. “The two handguns found in the vehicle were found to be both properly registered and the driver of the vehicle was qualified to carry them. We have cooperated with law enforcement and will continue to do so.”
