After returning from the hospital, the No. 1 Hero actor addressed the media and said shared what happened. “Thoda gehra lag gaya tha, laga tab vishwas nahi hua, aisa laga ye kya ho gaya (The wound is quite deep. It was quite shocking.) I was leaving for a show in Kolkata around 4:45-5 in the morning. At that moment, my gun fell and fired. “I felt a jolt and saw blood coming out.”

When a reporter asked Govinda why he kept a gun with him, the actor said, “Fame is a flame. You must be aware of the flame around you. When you reach fame you have to be careful because while many people love you, some are jealous. Jealousy is good but when someone becomes competitive it brings pain.
