The accident involved two foreign solo pilots who collided in mid-air and crash-landed. Police officials confirmed that the pilot named Patrice Feyaerts, a Belgian citizen, died in the incident. The other pilot, a Polish national, was injured in the accident.

The incident occurred around 13:00 and, according to police officials, both pilots were flying freely. While the police launched a rescue operation after the incident, surrounding citizens also offered their help in tracking the paragliders.

Three foreign paragliders, who took off from Bir Billing last week, were rescued by helicopter after getting stranded in the high mountains of Kullu district.
