Appeal to CCTV to identify man in rape investigation

Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault are appealing for the public’s help.

They believe the man pictured may have information that could assist our investigations into the incident in Bristol.

He is described as a white-skinned person, between 25-30 years old, of medium build. He is shown wearing a white sweater, a black vest and a white baseball cap.

Between 2am and 3.30am on Sunday, March 24, the victim was raped at Colston Parade off Redcliff Hill.

Investigating officer DC Ewan Brand said: “I must commend the victim’s courage in coming forward following this incident. I do not underestimate the strength and courage it must have taken.

“We are always careful in our investigations into the impact such incidents may have on the victim. We have been carrying out a number of investigations, such as examining forensic evidence, in recent months and we are now at the stage where we can make this appeal.

“Do you know this man? We believe he may have some information that could support our questions.”
