Drummer who ‘lost his passion for playing’ leaves rock band via email

Popular rock band Primus became one of the members shortly after the band’s drummer suddenly left the band via email.

Tim “Herb” Alexander sent an email to Primus on October 17 stating that he would be leaving the band immediately. he wrote on Instagram Tuesday, October 29th.

According to Primus, Alexander’s reason for leaving the group was that he “lost his passion for playing”.

“This came as a complete shock to all of us at the Primus camp,” the group wrote.

“On the heels of a great Spring and Summer tour and amazing plans ahead, it came as a bit of a surprise to us when Herb suddenly called it quits,” Primus added. “As disappointing as this is, we respect his choice and it has forced us to make some difficult decisions.”

The group owns scheduled shows The show, which is held in Oakland, California, on December 30 and 31, said they do not plan to cancel any shows.

Primus plans to recruit members of other groups to fill Alexander’s role, and mentioned the groups Holy Mackerel and Frog Brigade in his Instagram post.

“This will be an exciting, special, one-off event,” Primus wrote. “As for the future Primus, the band looks forward to performing in the Dominican Republic with Tool and others. “Danny Carey has once again graciously offered to fill the drum throne.”

The band plans to find “the best drummer in the world” to replace Alexander in the future.

This isn’t the first time Alexander has left Primus. The drummer joined the band in 1989 and left in 1996, then rejoined when Primus reformed in 2003. Alexander left the band again in 2010 but returned in 2013. Blabbermouth reported.

Formed in 1984 by bassist and vocalist Les Claypool and guitarist Todd Huth, Primus has experienced many line-up changes throughout the band’s 40-year career.
