After this he killed two more women and was finally arrested for good in July 1979. The murder of 12-year-old Robin Samsoe is what put him behind bars permanently and on death row.

More than 30 years after she ran away from Rodney Alcala, Monique testified against him in court. She was 46 and gave the “most searing” testimony against him. The report also said she “never recovered” from the attack and has lived a “troubled life” ever since.
