Major General Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva’s Transformative Impact on NCC

Major General Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva completed his distinguished military career as additional director general of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh from Wednesday.

Sachdeva’s tenure was marked by transformative efforts that empowered youth and improved NCC’s operations. He was bid farewell at a ceremony at Canal Road, where he encouraged staff to persist in their efforts towards youth empowerment, a defense spokesman said.

During her 37 and a half years of service, Major General Sachdeva held various roles and significantly advanced NCC’s initiatives. A record number of students were trained in cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, a testament to his effective leadership. He also facilitated the recruitment of a large number of students into the defense forces by earning unit citations from the Lieutenant Governors of Ladakh and J&K.
