Metro (né Leland T. Wayne) was sued by Vanessa LeMaistre in Los Angeles Superior Court on October 29, in a filing her attorney called “a complete shake-up.”

LeMaistre, 38, is seeking a jury trial and damages after claiming she “blacked out” and woke up to find the Grammy-nominated star, 31, raping her in a Beverly Hills hotel room, according to the complaint obtained by PEOPLE.

The complaint states that LeMaistre was “deeply distressed and grieving” over the February 2016 death of her 9-month-old son, Kamden, when she met Wayne through mutual friends in Las Vegas in the spring of 2016.

She claims he invited her to visit his recording studios in California, where he lived, and that she accepted because she loved music and wanted to “escape the pain” of her son’s death. Before long, she and Wayne “formed a friendly bond,” the complaint states.
