Police say man claiming to be rapper Sexy Red’s manager was raped at gunpoint following Booby Trap incident

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A Miami Gardens man picked up a woman from a Sexy Red event at a South Florida strip club claiming to be the rapper’s manager, took the victim to his home, then forced her to buy cocaine at gunpoint and raped her for “several hours,” according to police.

Police arrested 41-year-old Vladimir Joseph on Tuesday on charges of sexual assault with a weapon and false imprisonment with a weapon. The arrest report describes him as “supportive.”

According to Miami Gardens police, the sexual assault occurred in the early morning hours of May 27.

Police said the victim was found at the Booby Trap on the River strip club at 3615 NW S. River Drive in Miami, St. She said she was “working on an event” for Sexyy Redd, the stage name of St. Louis hip-hop artist Janae Nierah Wherry. -Dade.

The arrest report states that while the woman was waiting outside, a man later identified as Joseph approached her in a gray Lexus and said he was “Alexander Beamer,” Wherry’s manager.

“Vladimir Joseph is not his manager,” a representative for the artist said in an email to Local 10 News.

Police said the woman and three men got into the car and Joseph drove her to his home in the 20900 block of Northwest 14th Place.

Police said Joseph held a gun to the victim’s head and forced him to take cocaine.

Joseph is accused of telling him: “Take it or I’ll kill you.”

He “then walked her upstairs” and raped her “for several hours,” the report states.

Police said Joseph “recorded sex acts he performed on her” with two cell phones, then “forced the victim to take a shower and sexually assaulted her again.”

According to the report, Joseph ordered a house on Lyft after repeatedly raping her. Police said the man sent her travel details to her phone so they could identify where she was raped and who raped her.

Police said the woman went to Jackson Memorial Hospital and was examined and treated at the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center, where staff collected a rape kit.

Police said the woman tested positive for drugs. Details about the DNA results were redacted from the arrest report, but police said they were able to pick out Joseph as the attacker from the photo array.

Joseph went to the Miami Gardens Police Department with his attorney on Tuesday to turn himself in to police, authorities said.

Joseph was being held without bail at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility as of Wednesday afternoon.
