West Chester man arrested for unlawful contact with minors – Daily Local

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and Chester County Detectives announced the arrest of Malcolm Kenyon, 25, of West Chester, on charges of possessing, collecting and soliciting sexually explicit images and videos from minors over the internet.

Kenyon was charged with Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Dissemination of Explicit Sexual Material to a Minor, Child Sexual Abuse, and related offenses. Kenyon is accused of actively using social media to connect with young people, enable children to communicate with sexual content, and request sexually explicit images and videos from them. Magistrate District Judge Martin Goch arraigned Kenyon on October 8, 2024 and set cash bail at $750,000. Kenyon was previously charged with 100 counts of child pornography on April 9, 2024, and has been jailed on $250,000 bail since then.

Chester County District Attorney Christopher L. de Barrena-Sarobe said: “This Defendant used social media to locate and contact innocent children so that he could solicit sexual photographs and videos from them. The criminal complaint, filed by Chester County Detectives on October 8, 2024, details how the defendant solicited and obtained sexually explicit images and videos from minors over the years using Snapchat and other social media platforms. Defendant instructed the child victims on what sexual acts to perform in the videos and photographs.

The investigation began in December 2023, when Chester County Detectives/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) received a Cyber ​​Tip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding a Dropbox account that had uploaded a file containing a child. It started with taking it. sexual abuse material. The investigation led investigators to a residence in West Goshen Township, Chester County, where detectives executed a search warrant. Kenyon was first charged in April 2024 after investigators found child pornography on his Dropbox account.

Investigators executed additional search warrants on Kenyon’s Snapchat, Discord and Google accounts. These arrest warrants revealed sexually explicit communications with multiple potential minors. The communications included requests for sexual images and suggestions to meet for sex. To date, investigators have identified five teenage victims. The investigation revealed that Kenyont used the Snapchat username “oop_0719” and the screen name “O ShiTM” to contact potential minors.

District Attorney de Barrena-Sarobe added: “Parents should remember: When you give a child a phone, you give your child access to the world. Take steps to educate your child about the Internet while restricting and monitoring your child’s apps and social media use.”
