Charlton Athletic extend Miles Leaburn’s contract

Charlton Athletic have activated a one-year extension clause in Miles Leaburn’s contract.

This means the 20-year-old forward, who will become a free agent next summer, has a contract at The Valley until the summer of 2026.

The academy graduate, who is the son of former Addicks frontman Carl, has scored 22 goals in 63 appearances for the Addicks since July 2022, when he scored his first goal.

He becomes the second academy graduate Charlton have signed a contract extension with in recent weeks, after defender Zach Mitchell signed a new long-term contract.

The Addicks are also negotiating a new contract that will take Leaburn beyond 2026.

“Miles is a very talented player and has done really well since breaking into the men’s first team in the summer of 2022,” manager Andy Scott told the club’s website. he said.

“He has fantastic technical ability and has really good physical attributes with his pace, height and strength.

“He has shown mentally that he is resilient enough to come back stronger after a very tough injury last season.”
