In conclusion, Corley was officially credited with an 18-yard dash but was also accused of fumble.

The play was ruled a touchback because the ball rolled out of bounds and to the edge of the end zone.It resulted in a turnover that gave the Texans possession.

The whole situation stunned the crowd at MetLife Stadium. It was about three-quarters of capacity on Halloween night. While many fans shook their heads, others expressed disbelief at Corley’s early celebration, which cost the Jets a key scoring opportunity.

In the end, the rookie’s mistake was quickly forgotten and Jets achieved a very important victory with a 3-6 win-loss score in the middle of the season.
