Police release the identity of a 27-year-old man found dead in October

COLORADO SPRINGS — The identity of a man found dead in October was released by police Friday.

Dominic Godinez, 27, was found dead following a disturbance on Oct. 27. Police responded to Cedar Glen View around 1:44 a.m. for a report of a disturbance and found Godinez dead at the scene when they arrived.

Godinez’s death is being investigated as a homicide. At the time of his death, police said the names of all parties involved in the disturbance had been released but no arrests had been made at this time.

This was the 37th homicide in Colorado Springs, according to police. This time last year there were 27 people. Godinez’s manner of death is still under investigation by the El Paso County Medical Examiner’s Office and had not yet been released at the time of this article’s publication.
