Pearson Airport launches culinary event for November

Pearson International Airport is hoping to launch its own version of the City of Toronto’s summer and winter culinary events this month.

Bustling travel hub says it has top-notch dining options Pearsonlicious Inspired by the popular Winterlicious and Summerlicious festivals in the city throughout November, the event is designed to elevate the airport experience.

Throughout the month, passengers passing through Terminals 1 and 3 will have the option to enjoy specially prepared three-course prix fixe menus at 18 restaurants. The price of the dishes varies between 30 and 40 dollars.

Participating restaurants include Acer, Apropos, Beerhive, Boccone, Caplansky’s, Corso, Fetta, Fionn MacCool’s, Heirloom Bakery Cafe, LEE Kitchen, Marathi, Mill St. Brewery, Nobel Burger Bar, Tap & Pour, The Hearth, Twist, Urban Crave, and Vinifera.

“Whether you’re catching a flight or making a connection, Pearsonlicious offers travelers the chance to enjoy exclusive, chef-inspired meals and redefine airport dining,” said Khalil Lamrabet, chief commercial officer of Toronto Pearson, in a press release. “This initiative is part of our vision to bring back the joy of travel and make the airport an unforgettable destination.”

Winterlicious and Summerlicious events were organized by the city in 2003 to promote eateries and create economic activity for the restaurant industry during periods when business is slow.

The city says more than eight million meals were served during the festival, generating more than $353 million in economic activity for the industry.
