ATC allowed physical detention of woman TikToker - Pakistan

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Friday allowed Gulberg police six-day physical detention of TikTok user Sara Khan, who claimed to be the mother of the alleged rape victim at Punjab College.

Earlier, the police produced the suspect, who is a resident of Karachi and has a permanent address in Multan, before the court. However, the court decided that the female suspect would remain in police custody from sunrise to sunset, and that she would rest in prison under judicial supervision.

The investigating officer told the court that the suspect recorded a video claiming to be the mother of the alleged victim and uploaded it to his TikTok account.

He said the video went viral and added to the controversy surrounding the alleged case. He said the suspect was accused of making false allegations, inciting public opinion against government officials and inciting the public to violence.
