Life imprisonment for man who raped 2 children

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – Scott Jacobson, 45, of Akron was sentenced to life in prison without parole for raping two children in his care, according to Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich.

Jacobson pleaded guilty to multiple charges on August 15, 2024

• Two cases of rape with sexual violent predator characteristics – 1st degree crimes

• 10 counts of fraud in a sexually explicit matter involving a minor – 2nd degree felonies.

• Two counts of gross sexual imposition – 3rd degree felonies.

Jacobson, III. He was designated as a Tier 1 sex offender; If Jacobson was released from prison, he would have to register with the local sheriff every 90 days for the rest of his life.

Jacobson admitted to raping two children and possessing child pornography.

Co-defendant Kristina Jacobson faces the following charges:

• rape – 1st Degree crime

• two counts of unlawful use of a minor or disabled person in nudity-oriented material or performance – a 2nd Degree felony.

• Severe Sexual Solicitation – 3rd degree crime

Jacobson is scheduled for a status hearing on December 18.
