Owensboro man arrested for selling controlled substance at Rockport gas station

SPENCER CO., Ind. (WFIE) – A man who was dealing in a controlled substance at a gas station in Rockport was arrested Friday, Indiana State Police officials said.

For the past 10 months, Indiana State Police and the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office had been conducting a drug investigation involving the Rebels Marathon gas station in Rockport.

During the course of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Siddharth Aniker for Conspiring with a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Level 4 Felony.

On Friday, law enforcement found evidence of illegal drug activity at the gas station.

During the execution of the search warrant, a large amount of controlled substances were seized inside and outside the business.

Aniker was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and transported to the Spencer County Jail.

He is being held without bail.

The investigation continues.
