Vice President Kithure Kindiki’s rise to success is remarkable, starting from his early education at a primary school in Irunduni village, Tharaka Nithi District. It culminated in his role as Kenya’s second-in-command.

Known as a professional and logical leader, Kindiki had a mischievous side in primary school, according to his former classmate Njagi Gadara.

What was the cheeky side of Kindiki?

In an interview with NTVGadara said Kindiki often joked and had a habit of laughing at others before bursting into tears himself.

“He was a very humble kid. All he did was joke. He could laugh at you and cry,” Gadara said.

Gadara added that Kindiki’s habit of frequently laughing at others can demoralize them and make them feel crushed.

“He might laugh at you until you feel completely crushed,” he added.

However, he noted that despite his cheeky nature, Kindiki was a bright and modest student. He explained that his former classmate Kindiki held most of the leadership positions at the school.

“He was a referee, team leader, timekeeper and also a ball handler. He kept the ball in his locker,” Gadara said.

On the other hand, Kindiki’s nephew Joel Njeru, who has known him since childhood, says the vice president showed signs of future success from an early age.

Njeru expressed his happiness to see his uncle as the second most powerful man in the country and stated that he foresees Kindiki to take the presidency in 2032.

“I would love to see him progress in life to the point of becoming president,” Njeru said.

William Ruto gives Kindiki a new name

On a separate occasion, President William Ruto He displayed a cordial relationship with Kindiki.

In his speech at the swearing-in ceremony held at KICC on Friday, November 1, Ruto frequently referred to Kindiki as “Abrah K”. shortened version of official nameAbraham Kythure Kindiki.

This new nickname reflected the closeness between Ruto and his new deputy and Ruto’s confidence in Kindiki’s leadership ability.
