The actor who failed to maintain his stardom…

Chunky’s career gets affected due to SRK, Salman and Govinda

In an interview with Screen, Chunky analyzed his career and said, “I’m lost.” Panday recalled the difficulty of gaining a foothold in the competitive ’90s. “I came as the galaxy was exploding; It was Govinda in 1986, I came in ’87, the next year it was Aamir, Salman came in 1989 and Ajay came in 1990. So, these big superstars kept coming. I got lost and enjoyed my honeymoon for a full year. “The whole year 1988 was amazing for me, and then it all faded away.”

When Chunky had trouble finding his first role

Chunky also revealed that he had been working on his first film for years. Chunky admitted that he was even asked to ‘get out’ when he laid down to go to work. The actor said, “I remember wearing a tank top to the office of a very famous producer-director who made romantic films. I was going there after training. He saw me and said, ‘I’m not doing Tarzan, you can go to B Subhash’s office.’ So that’s how I got kicked out of offices. But after three years of effort, I shot my first movie in the toilet of a five-star hotel!”

Chunky took on supporting roles in 2000 and returned as an actor with Housefull. On the work front, Chunky will next be seen in Vijay 69.
