One person injured after shooting in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – One person was injured after an attack in Huntsville on Saturday morning.

According to the Huntsville Police Department, officers responded to the 3100 block of Triana Avenue just before 8 a.m. regarding a call of a fight in progress.

When police arrived at the scene, they reported finding a victim who had been attacked with a knife in the parking lot.

Police said the suspect was located in a nearby area and taken into custody. The suspect has not been arrested at this time.

The victim was transported to Huntsville Hospital and is expected to survive.

Huntsville Police believe this was an isolated incident between the victim and the suspect.

The incident is currently under investigation.
