Former People’s Power lawmaker Kim Young-sun, who was a key party in the alleged interference of President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Gun-hee, was included in the prosecution as a suspect.

The prosecution is investigating how former MP Kim gave 90 million won to Myung Tae-kyun after he was elected in the by-election.

Former lawmaker Kim denied all allegations of violating the Political Funding Law.

I’m contacting reporter Na Hyun-ho! Please tell me the details.

Former People’s Power lawmaker Kim Young-sun joined the Changwon District Prosecutor’s Office at around 9:30 am today (3rd).

Former lawmaker Kim explained his various doubts to reporters before attending the meeting.

First of all, he completely denied the allegations, saying that he had nothing to do with the alleged unrequited candidacy.

Let’s listen to former MP Kim Young-sun.

(Kim Young-sun / All People’s Power: This is embezzlement to me, but Kang Hye-kyung broke the Political Funding Law. So this Kang Hye-kyung has handled all the violations of the Political Funding Law in Korean history. This has nothing to do with me.)

He later said that he knew Myung Tae-kyun helped him in the election, but insisted that he never spoke to Yoon Suk Yeol’s president or First Lady Kim Gun-hee before or after the presidential election.

He also said that he had not heard any recordings of the telephone conversation between Chairman Yoon and Myung recently released by the Democratic Party of Korea.

The Changwon District Prosecutor’s Office is investigating former lawmaker Kim’s alleged violation of the Political Funding Law.

This is former lawmaker Kim’s second appearance since becoming a reference in June.

Former lawmaker Kim is accused of giving over 90 million won to Myung Tae-kyun dozens of times after he was elected in the June 2022 by-election.

The prosecution suspects the money going to Myung as a reward for the nomination.

We are also analyzing tablet computers and mobile phones seized from Myung’s home, which was seized and searched twice.

Previously, former lawmaker Kim’s accounting manager Kang Hye-kyung claimed that Myung helped the president in the last presidential election and in return enabled Kim to win the nomination.

The prosecution compared the 27,000 recorded files received from Kang Hye-kyung and plans to call Kang back for investigation if necessary.

Additionally, Myung Tae-kyun, one of the key figures under suspicion, is also expected to be called up this week.

So far I have delivered from the national department.
