A police officer stated that the incident took place on Saturday night after former DSP Ashok Sharma, who was suffering from cancer, asked the two sisters not to honk their car horn the day before, adding that Sharma escaped with minor injuries from the attack.

The officer said that Sharma and two sisters, Chhavi Jain and Bhavya Jain, were residents of Anekant Apartments society.

There was a big drama when the police were called after two women allegedly reacted aggressively. Later, the police said that the suspects, who tried to escape with their car, were caught after a chase.

“On Saturday, both sisters allegedly broke into Sharma’s house and confronted him and his family with knives, which drew neighbors to the scene and created chaos. Some residents who tried to intervene also suffered minor injuries.” said the officer.

Police said that after the confrontation, the sisters tried to escape in their vehicle and allegedly hit a scooter rider and dragged him for several metres, injuring one of the police personnel.

“They were chased and caught in Noida. We have initiated further investigation into the matter,” the officer said.

Police said a total of four FIRs have been registered against the two accused at New Ashok Nagar police station based on complaints filed by former DSP Sharma, his daughter Reena, head constable Sunil and scooter driver Joginder.

The two sisters were registered in various sections of BNS including 109, 115, 126, 221 and 132, the officer said.

Sources said both sisters have a history of confrontational behavior, including an incident a few months ago when they allegedly took a security guard hostage.

The two sisters were previously arrested in September in a case where the NBW case against them was ongoing.

Police said investigation into all the cases is ongoing under ACP Kalyanpuri.
