12-year-old student died in hostel, minister expressed shock

Visakhapatnam: 12 year old VII. Class student Konathala Shyamala Rao collapsed after having breakfast at BC Welfare Hostel in Vizianagaram and was later declared dead by doctors at Vizianagaram government hospital.

Eyewitness students of the incident said that after having breakfast, Shyamala Rao told her hostel mates that she felt dizzy and collapsed in the confusion. The person was taken to a state hospital, and doctors declared him dead. In the first examination, it was revealed that the person may have had a heart attack. The boy is a native of Ranasthalam in Srikakulam district.

Meanwhile, BC Welfare Minister S Savith expressed shock over the student’s sudden death at BC Hostel. He immediately ordered BC Welfare Authorities to submit a report to him.

He said the hostel staff informed the child’s family by phone. He said that the government will support the family in every aspect.
