Approximately 6,000 permits processed at satellite license moving events in Allegheny County

The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office held its final satellite license drive event of the year on Saturday.

In the case of Monroeville, the Sheriff’s Office said 616 people were processed.

The sheriff’s office said 5,876 permits were processed across eight satellite weapon permit events in 2024.

Sheriff Kevin Krauss is holding these first-come, first-served events for people who cannot make it to the courthouse during normal business hours. This is part of its ongoing effort to bring government services to the community.

While there are no other satellite events planned, the sheriff’s office will operate special Saturday hours from 8 a.m. to noon on Dec. 7.
